A vivid and mouthwatering Chardonnay, bursting with ripe peach and nectarine, accented by hints of toasty oak and vanilla. The palate shows both richness and structure, layering caramelized pineapple, peach, and butterscotch with bright citrus notes that bring vibrancy and crispness to the long, refreshing finish.

The 2022 vintage marked the first winter where we saw substantial rainfall and the first time we had water flow in the local creeks and tributaries in three years. A long, cold winter with over forty nights of freezing temperatures between January and April caused small frost damage in a few blocks. The spring saw a few light rains with moderate temperatures, which occurred during bloom and caused some calyptra to stick on late-blooming varieties, which resulted in shatter. The summer brought three-digit temperatures in June, July, and September, causing minimal burning to the grape skins and dehydration to the vines. Hyde Vineyard is located a few miles from San Pablo Bay, which provides fresh winds and cold nights during the hot summer. Our harvest started in early August and ended in the first week of October, and despite the challenges encountered, the fruit was exceptional, and the wines are evolving with great intensity and balance.
