This 100% Syrah is silky and elegant showing layers of rich blackberry, huckleberry, wild berry, and plum notes. An aromatic complexity to the sleek, but bright pomegranate flavors that delivers a smooth texture with firm ripe tannins.

The 2017 vintage did not see a lot of rain, but it was overall a moderate growing season.  Light rain during bloom lowered crop levels, however, the berries that remained were concentrated.  A heat spike during August slowed down the ripening of the grapes giving the fruit depth and great flavors and with the unfortunate occurrence of the 2017 fires, we were lucky enough to have picked all our fruit and secured in barrels before the smoke settled in.
